CAD Department resources: AutoCAD 2002, COREL DRAW 6, Pro Nest 4.3.e, Nels.

At SMC programming for waterjet and burn machine is done in our CAD department. The process begins with your artwork. Auto Cad 2002 is the front end of our process and as such an Autocad drawing is the best format, next is the dxf file type which can be output or exported from many drawing programs. Barring the availability of a CAD file the next best choice would be a clear paper drawing, equally as good is a scan of the drawing. Clear and legible faxes also work well. There are no extra charges associated with the handling of these forms of customer provided artwork.

We also work with templates, tracings, and pictorial digital artwork (.jpg, .jif, .tiff, etc�) though there is usually a drawing charge which will vary with the difficulty of the task and the tolerance of the finished product will vary with the quality of the artwork provided.
